For years now, AldenWrench has been used by professional technicians in wide range of industries. It is a professional quality tool designed and intended originally for the aerospace where hydraulic lines are widely used. Assembly and repair of fasteners along such lines in tight spots are constant challenge. For this reason, you will find AldenWrenches are made differently from ordinary wrenches.
(1) Unlike ordinary wrenches that are made of chrome plated steel alloy, AldenWrench is made of 17-4 Stainless Steel and will not rust.
(2) It has no chrome nor cadmium plating. Chrome plating will form chips as the tool ages and is not recommended for aerospace use. The beautiful mirror shine of each AldenWrench is the product of labor intensive hand polishing.
(3) It is an open end wrench that ratchets at an angle of 30 degrees. This swing angle is equivalent to flip-flapping a 15 degree angled open wrench. Because it is a ratchet, it saves time as there is no need to remove and reposition the wrench each turn of the fastener. The RE Series has a smaller turn angle of only 20 degrees and better for those
tighter work spots.
(4) It has a small head size that is equal to or even smaller than most standard open wrench. A design that allows its use in tight spots.
Now, AldenWrench has become more affordable for home use, for the hobbyists and the do-it-yourselfers. AldenWrench will make a great gift for the handy person in the house as well as family and friends whose trade is in line of tools.
